I have always been part of some type of sport since junior high and high school. Basketball, Volleyball, Track. Dance etc. I attended College on a dance scholarship dancing for the Basketball team half time shows then moving on to Professional Ballroom Dance after. I traveled the US competing for 6 + years. Then, yes, I became a mother. Actually a 225 lb mom! I made the decision I would look 21 again no matter the pain and sweat involved. I took up running and with Clint began Triathlons. The next few years we're full of Triathlons, Marathons obstacle races and Ultra marathons. Including a 50k trail race. I lost my weight, ALL OF IT. And was thin but wanted more tone. Clint gave me a weightlifting routine & proved to me a woman can lift weights and get LEAN and tone. NOT big & bulky. As a Firefighter and a Pro-Women's Football player, I strive to stay in top physical condition. Three and a 1/2 year's ago we found Crossfit. It is the perfect balance of full body, core strength, endurance and explosive intensity that I need for both of my careers.

My background in fitness started about 8 years ago when I became a recruiter for the military.  As a recruiter I spent a lot of time working to prepare applicants for the rigors of basic military training.  I spent a lot of time learning about nutrition and fitness.  In Maine I was working out at a the local reserve base when I first ran into some tire flipping weirdos from Crossfit.  My back ground at that time was running and lifting not much more.  Right before I was moved to a new assignment in Utah I was in a decent car accident.  My career in the military was on the line as I nursed injuries and doughnuts.  When I got to Utah I was very overweight and in danger of not passing my fitness testing.  A local Crossfit Box was offering a free intro class so I thought why not I am not getting any better on my own.  That began my addiction and journey into fitness.  Between Crossfit and endurance running spawned a love for obstacle races.  I have ran 5 half marathons and several spartan races, tough mudders, a super hero scramble and many others.  After about a year of study and learning I started to teach classes for those on base that were in the same situation I was when I got to Utah.  I became a certified group fitness instructor by AFAA helping out both with the base gym and also my Unit.  The progression to coach was a natural one fueled by the desire to help others train to not suck at life.  Through Crossfit I have meet some amazing people and worked hand in hand with amazing people.

Kevin is a former Soccer and endurance athlete that has competed overseas in soccer
as well as completed in several marathons and ultra marathons. In 2010 a friend suggested that he give CrossFit a try;
He had recently completed a 50k ultra marathon and was convinced that CF WODs would be “too short”.
After an 8 min AMRAP (As Many Rounds/Reps As Possible) that included burpees,
kettle bell swings and slam balls left him curled up on the floor, he was hooked and he hasn’t looked back since.
